It was inaugurated on Valentine\u2019s Day in 2013. One of the world\u2019s largest natural flower gardens, it occupies 18 acres of land that has more than 60 million flowers on display and attracts up to 1.5 million visitors a year. The garden was awarded the Moselle Award for New Garden Experiences of the year by the Garden Tourism Award 2015. Tulips are the famous blooms of Netherland that are in full bloom during the spring season. And apart from tulips, daffodils, lilies, and hyacinths are the most popular flowers grown in this garden. In 1954, Pisit and Nongnooch purchased 600 acres of land for the purpose of fruit plantation. Later, they decided to plant tropical flowers and plants as a wildlife conservation project and opened the garden to the public in 1980. It has hundreds of flowering plants species, out of which 670 are native to Thailand.
