It is the most blessed month of the Islamic calendar filled with fasting, praying, and giving. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims practice daily fasting from sunrise until sunset and exchange Ramadan messages with loved ones. One breaks the fast after sunset with a meal, healthy iftar food and then eats again before dawn at Suhoor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Having a balanced iftar diet is essential that offers energy and help sustain the fast. We\u2019ve put together some healthy eating tips that you can consider during Ramadan.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Stay Hydrated<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Drink plenty of water and fluids, such as milk and juices. It will provide essential nutrients that your body requires to sustain fast. Drink 1-2 glass of water before your meal in the morning and evening. Consume salad that contains plenty of cucumber and tomato. Avoid caffeinated drinks,<br \/>\nwhich may lead to dehydration.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Break your fast with the right food<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Begin your iftar dinner with dates to refill your sugar levels. Dates contain natural sugar that provides the body with much-needed energy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Include soup in your diet<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Soups are an integral part of the iftar dishes. They are rich in water and keeps you hydrated. You can include vegetable, tomato, or lentil soup for a balanced iftar diet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Eat your veggies<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vegetables are a great source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Eating vegetables will provide you with a long-lasting source of energy throughout the day. Also, it will offer you a feeling of fullness.
