- Although not a palm tree, its growth habit is superficially similar to a palm; therefore it is commonly known as cardboard palm or cardboard cycad.
- Other names include cardboard plant, cardboard sago, Jamaican sago, and Mexican cycad.
- Plant Height - 30-40cm(Approx).

- About Plant - Cardboard plant is a cycad native to southeastern Veracruz state in eastern Mexico. Although not a palm tree, its growth habit is superficially similar to a palm; therefore it is commonly known as cardboard palm or cardboard cycad. Other names include cardboard plant, cardboard sago, Jamaican sago, and Mexican cycad.
- Water - Only a moderate amount of water is required for cardboard palms. And overwatering can cause the roots to rot. From the spring to fall, water whenever the top inch of soil feels dry. But over the winter, reduce watering by about half of what you watered during the growing season.
- Temperature - the ideal temperatures are 75 degrees during the day and 65 degrees at night.
- Care Tips - Maintenance of cardboard palm is minimal .It has a slow growth habit and does well in good potting soil as long as the container has excellent drainage.
- Light Requirement- Cardboard palms grow best in full sun, meaning at least six hours of direct sunlight on most days.
