When is Teachers Day

As a token of love, respect, regards, admiration, appreciation, and honor, Teacher's Day is celebrated across India and world. Teachers are no less than an engineer or architect of our society as a whole. In our country, Teacher's Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. When he became the President of our country many of his students and friends wanted to celebrate in a grand way but he was reluctant. Instead he came up with an idea that this day can be dedicated in honor of all teachers in India. We all love this man of knowledge and that's why we celebrate this day as Teacher's Day. Come 5th September, we would see students of now or then bowing down to their teachers again and paying a heartfelt respect.

But for rest of the world, the dates for Teacher's Day vary. UNESCO have announced in 1994 that 5th October would be celebrated as Teacher's Day. In India this unique Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September since 1962.
