With merely days left for the event, everyone is dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s to celebrate it in grandeur. The day is of historic importance that marks the unification of the seven emirates and commemorates the growth of the country. This year, people will be able to enjoy UAE National Day celebrations for whole four days. Here’s a pocket guide to the events and celebrations that will keep your spirits high.

Opening ceremony at Sharjah National Park

The celebrations will begin at Sharjah National Park and include a special musical performance titled ‘Sultan of Giving’ that highlights the achievements of the supreme council member and ruler of Sharjah; His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi. The show-stopping performance will reflect the urban, cultural and environmental development carried out during his rule.

Other performances and attractions include snow sculpting of national landmarks, snow villages, and many more. What’s more, there will also be a performance called ‘New Era.

Mleiha Public Park

The park will be decked with a national march accompanied by military music along with competitions and various games, prizes, and raffles. Different segments will include the participation of educational institutions.

Musical evenings @ Al Majaz Amphitheater and Khorfakkan Amphitheater

Al Majaz Amphitheater will host musical performances by Balqees and Latifa on November 26. On the other hand, Khorfakkan Amphitheater will host Eida Al Menhali & Diana Haddad on the 3rd of December. It is said that the proceeds of these musical evenings will be donated to ‘The Big Heart Foundation’ to support the unprivileged.

Abu Dhabi Air Show

Witness the spectacular air show at Abu Dhabi Corniche that will take place on December 2nd from 4 to 5 PM. The F-16 jets and the air force’s Mirage 2000, which bravely guards the skies, will also make a special appearance. The Air Show is among the notable UAE National Day celebrations that would not go amiss.

The UAE National Day celebrations in Al Bataeh will take place from 28th to the 30th of November. Since marches and parades are a significant part of the UAE national day festivities, the town will host the same in parks and residential areas. The marches will be led by residents, schools, government departments & agencies, the Sharjah Scouts Commission and the military band. Furthermore, they will be accompanied by horse shows, folk groups, classic cars and tourist buses.

Bands from Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait will participate in UAE celebrations showcasing a strong bond between the Gulf states.
