      Care Instructions

      • About Plant - Christ plant, or Christ thorn, is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family Euphorbiaceae, native to Madagascar. The species name commemorates Baron Milius, once Governor of Réunion, who introduced the species to France in 1821.
      • Water - Water your plant every two weeks in the summer time, but triple check that the soil is completely dry between each watering. When watering make sure the water is drainage through its growers nursery pot.
      • Temperature - Average room temperatures of between 65-75 F.4
      • Care Tips - Feed the plant with a liquid houseplant fertilizer. Water the plant with the fertilizer every two weeks in spring, summer, and fall. In winter, dilute the fertilizer to half strength and use it monthly. Repot the plant every two years in late winter or early spring.
      • Light Requirement- Place the plant in a very sunny window where it will receive three to four hours of direct sunlight each day.
