The second most important thing for the followers of Arabic culture after their religion is their duty towards the family. Both, male and female have traditional gender roles, with male bearing the responsibility of the financial status and females taking care of the children and household. People formally preach the practice of respecting the elderly as a constructive social value. Also, social circles are relatively bigger and structured.

But, the basic throbe is white and often worn on festivals and formal occasions. Women are expected to cover their body adequately at all times with a Jilbab or Chador. Also, the face and head should be covered with a scarf called Hijab (veil).
